Q: |
Where did you get all these BBSs?! |
|
A: |
Jason Scott was kind enough to give me the data he has collected. His website is
here: http://bbslist.textfiles.com. |
|
Q: |
I found duplicate records while searching the BBSs and it's driving me crazy!! |
|
A: |
Yeah, it drives me crazy too. Please e-mail me and let me know which dup's should be removed. |
|
Q: |
I have searched and searched and searched and I can't find my BBS! Where is it? |
|
A: |
Although you're searching through over 75,000 BBSs, by no means is that to say
we have EVERY BBS there ever was. If your BBS is not on the list, simply
register it. |
|
Q: |
I added myself as a member to a BBS but it doesn't show up on the left side of the
screen. |
|
A: |
Some BBSs may have been known under different names. If you added a BBS that had
several names, it uses the first name in the list on the left side of the screen. |
|
Q: |
I found a BBS with incorrect data! Can you fix it? |
|
A: |
I have provided a way to suggest corrections for a specific BBS. To do this, go
to the page where it lists the BBS's Sysop, City, etc. Notice on the bottom of this
page, there is a link that says "Something not right here? Click Here to suggest
a revision for this BBS listing." Click the link and fill out the appropriate changes.
If everything looks good, the BBS should be updated within 24 hours. |
|
Q: |
Can I link to BBSmates.com from my web site? |
|
A: |
Do you really think I'd say no? I have made a small link graphic and a
banner that you could use or feel free to design your own! |
|
Q: |
I know of a really good way that you could advertise this site! |
|
A: |
As long as it doesn't involve large sums of money, I'd definitely be interested.
The only way this site will work is if people know about it and register. So, if
you happen to be an editor over at big geek news website or something like that
please e-mail me! |
|
Q: |
nullvalue, what was -your- area code? |
|
A: |
708, south chicago suburbs. i also called 312 quite a bit. back then, i was also
known as Skanker. |
|
Q: |
My BBS has/had many more members than what is listed at your site, can you change
it? |
|
A: |
I have no way of knowing the actual total number of users that your BBS had. The
number of members given on the BBS details page is a total of the users who have
shown up at BBSmates, registered, and then made themself a member of your BBS. If
you would like this number to be more accurate, then you should request that your
users check out BBSmates and register to be a member of your BBS listing. This is
the only way that this number can be changed. |
