 Complete Re-write of BBSmates

Well, It's about time.. BBSmates was started allll the way back in
2001.. using such archaic languages such as ASP and VBScript.. Hah!
If any of you out there keep up with web application development 
technology, you know just about your only two modern options are 
either .NET or php. Since BBSmates would make a much smoother 
transition to .NET, I've already begun to completely re-write the 
website.  

Using ASP.NET, ADO.NET, native SQL Server database drivers and 
other new fangled fancy doo-dads, the site will run like brand new 
when we're all said and done.

Just to make up for lost time, I'm using the ASP.NET 2.0 Framework 
which is in Beta right now from Microsoft.. It's really cool, take
my word for it. :) 

BUT - NOW IS THE TIME TO GIVE BACK

During the rewrite will be the best time to add new features or fix
various weird things on the site.  SO I need your help, your ideas!

I know, I know the forums SUCK. I'll probably go with one of the 
more traditional-style web bulliten boards and tie it into the site
somehow. If anyone could suggest one the runs under ASP.NET, that
would be great.

I'll probably still offer blogs, but will also switch to a different
software for that as well.

I'll probably get rid of things on the site that nobody uses, like
the Classifieds section.  Maybe I'll just do a Classifieds forum.

God, I can't beleive it's been nearly a year and a half since I
sent out one of these newsletters.  I hope everyone has a safe and
happy holiday season!
